Hello, actually it was already clear what would happen when switching to the new payment processing.... Chaos, chaos, chaos. The attempt to get more information about support beforehand ended with the answer "We don't know what will happen either, we have to wait and see what happens". Great job! Apparently a normal bank transfer is no longer possible. So far we have received around 70% of all payments this way. Has anyone ever thought that many of the buyers, especially in the area of stamps/postcards etc., belong to the older generation. They have no idea what a “wallet” is... The reference to the dashboard is once again typical for Delcampe. Someone seems to think that we sellers transport our data on paper airplanes. This has been going on for many years. To be clear again. We don't have time to manually check a website or read dashboards to organize our sales. These organizational processes must be done digitally!!! This applies to payments, shipping notifications, cancellations, etc... What can a buyer currently choose as a payment method??? Kind regards

Hello, we do not create manual payment requests. The additional costs are calculated automatically. The buyer automatically received the information for the transfer and that's it. In most cases this has worked so far without any further manual intervention... and now it no longer works because the buyer no longer sees the bank details automatically... did I understand that correctly? So the bank details should now always be communicated manually or should we now insert the bank details into the item description or store them under the sales conditions...

The way that support told us should be...

1.) the buyer transfers money from his bank to his wallet.
2.) the buyer pays the seller from his wallet.
3.) the seller transfers the amount from the wallet to his bank.

That sounds more like a comedy show on TV, especially since everything is now much easier with PAYPAL.

Who secures the wallets? Are they subject to the European Banking Security System?

How is the seller protected if, for example, a direct debit from the buyer via the wallet is not honored?

These questions should all have been communicated beforehand. I haven't found anything about it.

    Kind regards

Hello, Delcampe's explanation that you should first transfer money to your PAYPAL account (see attached picture) and then use it as a substitute for bank transfer is not correct. The owner of a PAYPAL account can store bank details, credit cards, etc. as a payment method in his PAYPAL account and then select which account the debit should ultimately be made for each PAYPAL payment. It is therefore not necessary to deposit any credit. That's what makes it so practical with PAYPAL, depending on the type of purchase you can decide whether it is private, business or should it be financed. It is incomprehensible why Delcampe is causing such a severe break here. A transition period of 6 months would have been the right approach. The result will be that many customers will no longer order because they do not know how to process payments. The information under 6.4. the Delcampe conditions are misleading. Nobody would think that the “bank transfer” option still given there involves such a detour. Nobody will recognize the alternative mentioned in the Delcampe statement as a replacement for "bank transfer" as such. Kind regards

    Hi!

I'm not sure that abolishing bank transfers by Delcampe and forcing exclusively to use PayPal or their own Mango payment system is legal, especially if we consider additional fees for sellers.

I could not find, if the withdrawal of funds from Mangopay also is free? And where besides Delcampe Mangopay is usable? I as collector most of my purchases make anywhere else.

Hello, who guarantees that Mango Pay will remain free? It's only a matter of time before that changes again. I have already tried several times to get an answer to the question of whether the Mango Pay wallets are protected by the European Bank Deposit Security Fund. Delcampe simply deleted my last comment on this. It would be nice if someone would comment on this. Kind regards

On French forum (apparently the "official " forum) @Fred have stated MangoPay is free and Delcampe at the moment don't have a date for stop the free service. At the moment Delcampe pay MangoPay seller fees.
But no one can assure this situation is forever :psy:

Hello, whether this will happen with the decline in sales is difficult to say after two days, but it is at least very likely. But what is definitely worth noting is that no more payments are being received, with the exception of PAYPAL payments, because nothing has changed there or the buyers are all switching there now. However, when paying with PAYPAL, we only ship with proof of shipping, which of course hardly anyone does for small orders because of the costs, so there is a decline in sales! Kind regards

On the subject of wallet protection (3.9) it says:

The funds we hold on your behalf are protected in accordance with the terms of Article 24-10 (5) and
Article 14 of the Law of 10 November 2009 published in Memorial A No. 215 of 11 November 2009 of the
    Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

I can not do anything with it !
