Is it just me, or does anyone else find the Google Ads that have started to appear within lists of items REALLY annoying?

At the bottom of the page - fine - but do they really have to take the place of an auction/sale?

    Hmmmm....

Not too many people seem to be bothered about this.

But did you know that the ads don't slip in between the items - they actually REPLACE an item and that item might be yours........

    See screenshots below.

How do you know that the ads are replacing items? - surely if that's the case then D* are shooting themselves in the foot - I have assumed that the ads are just occupying another box in the listing in addition to what is already there - does this not make more sense?

The first screenshot was from my ongoing sales within My Control Panel.

The second screenshot is how those sales appear to everyone else in the listings and, as Artisanuk says, the GoogleAds take the place of one of the items (albeit it is only £0.02).

Yes, I see what you mean - wholly agree that this is unacceptable. Artisan makes the case for this one that it is only a 2p stamp, but I suppose that's not to say, it could be any amount

I don't see the point in D* doing this, though, if they wanted to advertise in the sales listings, surely it would be simple to create a 'sales box' - weird!!!!!!!!!!!

I have noticed that Delcampe auctions are appearing in Google searches and wonder if this increase in Google ads has anything to do with this as well. Buy it Now sales have usually been indexed by Google but this is the first time I have noticed auctions being indexed.

Hopefully this may mean an increase in buyers on Delcampe - I can certtainly use them as it is a difficult battle at the moment maintaining a regular income from sales becuase of all the problems associated with the economic recession.

    Very VERY good link, Noernberg.

I've installed the app. (or whatever it is) and ALL ads have been disabled whatever site I visit - it's great!

I don't know whether it allows those auctions/sales that were being replaced by the ads to come through or whether those auctions/sales are just not shown but whatever happens, I don't get the ads anymore which is good!
