Vacation setting ?

    Hello to all. Is there a vacation setting available when I go on vacation? I would like to suspend my selling from time to time. I only sell with "buy it now".

    Hi, under Parameters in My Delcampe - left side bar. click on Parameters, scroll down to bottom, click the button:

    I am temporarily absent ... (has a small palm tree icon)

    Just to confirm if I choose this setting I will not have to relist my items?

    Will the auction end date still be the same? And will items automatically relist if the absent setting is chosen when this occurs?

    Lastly, Can I list my items under this setting and will all be visible upon deselecting the 'vacation setting'?

    the vacation setting is something that appears after your name (see where you have the 'shield'?) It lets others know that you won't necessarily be able to answer questions immediately or ship out items. It does nothing to your items listed for sale or auction--they stay listed and get re-newed until they expire (how ever long you have that set.)
    When I go on vacation, I add a little message in my profile to explain the date I'll return or somesuch. Many others do that as well.

    Haven't tried it out yet, but as far as I can see. If you use the "vacation" setting nothing at all changes except the fact that you may not reply as quickly as usual (or not at all) for a given period of time. People can still bid, buy, ask questions, but your response re answering questions, sending invoicing, posting items will be delayed.

    Haven't tried it out yet, but as far as I can see. If you use the "vacation" setting nothing at all changes except the fact that you may not reply as quickly as usual (or not at all) for a given period of time. People can still bid, buy, ask questions, but your response re answering questions, sending invoicing, posting items will be delayed.

    Yes, that's right. Bidders can buy while your items are on vacation setting so you should plan to respond to messages etc, send invoices etc if you are traveling etc. A bit inconvenient but I found Delcampe members very understanding if any delay was a result of vacation setting. Mind you, I only had a couple of sales.

    It would be useful if the palm tree icon was much larger so bidders could see it easily. I included an "away from the office" message in the information box at the bottom of item listing too.
