    Not if you have saved them properly in My Pictures or some similar location, but if they are in the scanner's buffer then wave bye-bye to them

    This quite often happens when the scanner is not plugged in properly to the computer. A loose connection is easy to remedy - make sure it is connected properly if it is a USB port as these tend to become 'loose' after time or if they get a knock or two. Try changing to another USB port. My dozy dog has caused me grief this way when she upset my connections looking for a tennis ball that somehow found its way behind my computer.

    Uninstall and re-install can sometimes cause more headaches then they solve if files or remnants of files are left behind after the uninstall process. There's nothing more fiddly and potentially damaging than finding and deleting rogue registry code.
