    I think at that time, post area 159 was Glasgow, Scotland whereas Zululand was a British territory in Africa, Maybe a fake - there was lots of fakes for Zululand overprints - as the overprint seems to sit on top of he postmark rather than beneath it. I am NOT an expert though so may be wrong.

    To me it looks like a crude forgery. The postmark and numeral obliteration clearly indicate Glasgow. I doubt if this item has been anywhere near Zululand.

    Only my opinion of course.

    Definitely a fake, these stamps were not issued with the ZULULAND overprint. The overprints were applied to the 1887 series in 1888. :thumbdown:
