When I opened my bedroom curtains this morning, I realized I had some early morning visitors.

Why couldn't they've turned up a few hours later and given me the time to set up my tripod & camera?

As it is, I only managed to capture one of them and it's not a brilliant shot.

The camera is on the tripod and ready to be used in case they decide to pay me another visit in the morning.

Thanks for your wonderful photo. I used to live near the New Forest so you reminded me of "home". A belated thank you.

We have early morning visitors in my part of the world but they are slightly less attractive. This one was found on a bus....probably seeking shelter from the deluge.

I like all sorts of wildlife, but snakes is one of the exceptions.

We spot deer here quite regularly, but rarely get a photo opportunity.

Snoopy, don't expect to see a hunt trophy photo from me - I can't even kill a fly!

Our local highway authority are considering introducing 'advisory' cycle lanes on some of our main roads - not separate cycle lanes you understand, but simply a yard-wide green stripe along the road edge

Expect to see a few cyclists strapped to the fronts of vehicles around here if they go ahead and implement it...

I used to cycle everywhere in Holland.

When I came to the UK (over 30 years ago) I was horrified by the "lack of respect" for cyclist on UK roads and I have never attempted to cycle here - I'd love to though, but I'd feel I would be totally out of control of my own safety. The bicycle is such an ideal mode of transport for short(ish) journeys, when walking would take too much time and going by car often seems silly, given the distance involved.
