Hi, some ideas, assuming it dates from WW1 - at left, French ? Middle standing, Russian ? At right, Scottish soldier part of British Army. Kneeling in front, Belgian (distinctive "top hat" worn c. WW1). So it may be intended to represent the Allies at the start of WW1, before trench conditions brought more sensible uniforms and helmets.

However, the flags behind do not entirely match. Left hand one could be France, right hand is supposed to be Union Flag for UK, but central one is neither Russian nor Belgian !

Hi, only thing is that the Bulgarians were on the Central Powers side during WW1, not the Allies, and only from October 1915 ?

And it is not a Scottish flag (which would be white saltire on blue). In fact sorry my mistake, not a Union Flag either, as I said earlier (duh) but something similar to the Merchant Navy flag (crude Union flag in top left quadrant, red the rest) ?

Perhaps simply a very amateur image ? Strange card nonetheless !

Why should the central flag not be Russian? Back then, the Russian tricolour was often used with a much lighter blue than it is today.

    here's the correct answer
The postcard depicts soldiers from different Allied countries during World War I. Based on the flags and uniforms:
United Kingdom: Represented by the soldier in a kilt, likely a Scottish soldier.
France: Represented by the flag behind the soldier in a kilt.
Belgium: Represented by the soldier on the left with the distinctive helmet.
Russia: Represented by the soldier in the middle with the traditional Cossack uniform and hat.
Japan: Represented by the flag on the far right.
