Can anyone tell me where the 'Ruins of Mulrob' are?

This is the caption on the postcard shown mailed from somewhere in Gloucestershire in 1905.

Google doesn't seem to come up with anything!

    Any help greatly appreciated!

    Hi,

Maybe it should be 'Ruins of Mulroy'?

See Link (https) and Link (http)

    Surely to confirm...

    Best regards,

    Quasar

    Many thanks Quasar.

Are you a detective in 'real life'? An Irish friend came up with the same response so between you I'm sure you have found the correct answer to my query.

If you are ever in the UK I surely owe you a beer or two!

    Hi,

    I'm surely not a detective.
Just a little luck in searching: when typing 'castle mulro' in Google, it suggested 'mulroy'...

However I'll remember the two beers...

    Best regards,

    Quasar

It looks rather like Doe Castle, in Mulroy Bay, Co. Donegal - note it is printed by a London printer - someone who mixed Mulroy & Bay together, not knowing exactly what it was??

Sorry if that is a repeat, I see Quasar had already located it - not an uncommon thing to see Irish names mangled on PCs by non-Irish printers.
