Count B. Tyszkievicz collection

Is anyone familiar with the Count B. Tyszkiewicz items for sell on Delcampe? I have several of the postcards which all bear his stamp/address verso.
I understand that he sometimes mailed cards to artists who autographed the print of their work.
I have so many questions about this Count's cards that it's hard to know where to start:) But for example, I've deduced that some of the 'postcards' he owned were printed by such companies as Jean Boussod, Manzi Joyant & Co. So, it's not the standard 'carte postale' verso but blank -- except for his purple-blue ink address stamp. Which makes me wonder: in such a case, are these items NOT truly postcards? Would they be called miniature engravings or limited edition prints or such?
Any help to shed light on the count's collection would be most appreciated.

    Hello,

In my own collection I also have a 'Tyszkiewicz' card (see below).
The card was posted in 1907; the count seems to have a different address in the meantime.
In my case it is an existing postcard, on which the 'Tyszkiewicz' stamp has been placed.

Here is what I could find online

    1) In French: Link (http)
His full name seems to be Benedykt (in French: Benoît) Henryk Tyszkiewicz. He lived from 1852 to 1935. He was a photographer and an art mecenas. He was a member of the 'Société Française de Photographie' (the French Photographical Society) and of the 'Photo-club de Paris' (the Photo club of Paris).

    2) Here a maybe interesting article on Benedykt Tyszkiewicz: Link (http)

    3) On Wikipedia, but only in Polish: Link (http)

    4) A search on Google reveals at least two other persons with the name Benedykt Tyszkiewicz, but it seems they were not residing in Paris.

    Best regards,

    Quasar

    Quasar,
Thank you for your response. I found much the same information that you did -- but I didn't realize there was more than one Benedyct!? An ancestor or a peer? I'll have to check that out.
    Remerciements,
    Trishia

OH, Quasar, if I may ask: is the front of your Tyszkiewicz postcard an art print or is it a town view?

    Hi Trishia,

    1) As for the other persons with the same name:
    Benedykt Tysskiewicz, 1849-1939: Link (http)
Benedykt Tyszkiewicz, 1875-1952: Link (http) . He seems to be the son of 'our' Benedykt; his son was also called Benedykt (born in 1903).

    2) If found this portrait of Benedykt Tyszkiewicz. Portrait by Benque (photographer in Paris), so this is probably 'our' Benedykt?
    Link (https)

    3) On the recto of my card, there is a Leopold II caricature (see below).

    Best regards,

    Quasar

    Quasar,
Thank you again so much! As you say, "our" Tyszkiewicz:) Postcard collecting is a bit of an obsession and to collect someone else's collection -- especially a count and art patron -- well, it adds yet another dimension to the specialness of the cards.
