Hi, can anyone ID this village please? The only print on the back says, 'Maison B. Benereaz, edit., Lausanne. The back has a handwritten note, in French, but was not posted. I quite like the french beans and the ladder into the trees. Little things! Thank you.

    Hi Porphyryportal

That's AVENCHES in Canton of Vaud in Switzerland.
A very Beatiful little town with an old history.
The Romans had a "military base" here.

The tower with 4 little towers belongs to the church Sainte-Marie-Madeleine .

    Thank you Christian!

How amazing that you recognised it! :applause:

I've looked on google maps and can see why the land in the foreground is flat. I followed your links and it does look like a great place to visit, especially when there's a Rock Oz’Arènes concert. Pity it's so faaaaar away.

    Cheers,
    Annabel
