Hello all, I just purchased this postcard and have no idea where it is. I plugged it into google and Google has no idea either! There is also nothing listed on Delcampe/eBay of this view either.

It might not even be a town! It could just be a word in another language. My guess is Swedish, Danish, or German.

The back has a letter from an American that he stayed there. It also states, "Brefkort" in large bold letters and underneath, "Carte Postale"

    Any guesses?

oh dear lord, now it gets complicated.

try looking up "Vermskog sundet", sundet is street in Norwegian and Swedish

the village Värmskog is known as the birthplace of inventor Lars Magnus Ericsson. It located in a municipality in Värmland County in west central Sweden.

    hope this helps

Wow, thank you very much everyone for your help. I think you've solved the mystery. I have emailed the hotel today to see if they would be interested in a vintage view of thier property.
