    Hello,

I have this postcard of a fort in France, probably on the Ligne Maginot in 1939 or early 1940.
There are 2 foreign officers whom someone on the French forum ( Link (http) told me are British, and among the French flags someone else noticed a St-Patrick's cross!
What would be the reason for this flag (why not the Union Jack?), and can anybody confirm that these are British officers?
The text on the card reads: "Le général Colson, Chef d'Etat-major général inspectant un ouvrage fortifié"

I posted the same message on the English postcards forum, but there doesn't seem to be ANY visitors there...
    Thanks!

    Bonjour Myriam,

So Swiss and French have to meet over the US forum, don't we?
Thanks for the news about Général Colson, though I had already found that...
Please come have a look at the French forum, there are some interesting developments as to "where"!
    :o
