Need Help to Identify

    Hi:

I have been able to identify and acquire all but one of the stamps in the background on the 2006 Georgia 50th Anniversary of Europa Stamps.

See the center right margin below the clown stamp and detail. It appears to be a portion of a stamp with women in hats from the 1920s or 1930s. All other reproduced stamps were Europa issues, but long searches have not found it, and it is possible I overlooked it.

This forum seems to be very successful in helping with mystery stamps, so I await your help. Thanks.

    Hiya,

I went through Europa Cept catalogue, but was unable to locate the stamp. None of the personalities, famous women, clothes or even art looked any similar,so I checked the rest as well, but no luck. At some point I even thought it might not even be a woman but Columbus from 1992 :D, but the difference was still too great. Was fun to look into it though, even no success :)

    Regards

    Hi:

Thanks for your effort. I pretty much did the same as I couldn't believe this stamp wasn't a Europa issue like all the other stamps on stamps on the s/s. I even tried non-CEPT countries with "sympathetic" issues with no success.

It's gotta be out there somewhere.
