    Hello Cajunsr,

Not sure you found what you are looking for, so just in case...

The organization of French catalogs is sometimes complicated and not always logical....For what you are looking for, I would suggest you search in the Yvert & Tellier site, in the "Timbres des pays d'outre-mer" section. There are several volumes , organized in alphabetical order (like Scott catalogs), but beware, have a close look at the content before ordering those catalogs.

Personnally, I do prefer the Dallay catalogs, much more detailed, but I am not sure they have the country you are looking for...

    Link (http)

    Good luck,

    Pat

    Hi Cajunsr,

Yes you're right, this volume should meet your needs; I had a second look at the site, and even if French is my native language, I have hard time to understand the organization of those catalogs; I believe it depends on the issue (what year); sometimes you find "Tome" x to xx, etc,, sometimes it is Volume x to xx, and then in some "tome", you will find 1st part, and then second part, etc... I have never seen lousy marketing like that for a product from an established company.... The guys should have slept on the switch for many years, before they just woke up when the fierce competition jumped in...with a big D and a magnificent and complete catalog.

    Best regards,
    Pat.

    Hello Cajuns,

For the post-colonial issues of the french colonies, you can use the catalogue Yvert et Tellier Tome 2 now issued in two parts : part 2 and part 3 (part one is for the colonial issues). You'll find the post colonial issues from the former african colonies (Algeria, Benin (ex-Dahomey), Burkina (ex-Upper-Volta), Centrafrica (ex Ubangui), Comoros, Congo(-Brazaville), Ivory-Coast, Djibouti, Gabon, Guinea, Madagascar, Mali (ex French-Sudan), Morocco, Mauritania, Niger, Senegal, Tchad, Togo and Tunisia), and the stamps from the countries issued of the former french indochina ( Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam) and the stamps from Vanuatu (ex-New-Hebrides , the former anglo-french condominium).

Best regards from Britanny (western France) and excuse-me for my poor english!
