    Hello all,

I have noted at least one store where the same picture was used to illustrate several objects. All items were used stamps which of course means that a potential buyer don't get the object he looks at when bidding, nor does he get the possibility to check it out.

    Is this OK??

In my view it's not OK. When I buy I want to see the item I am about to bid on. I want to check it on a best possible scan to see if I can find varieties, faults, signs of regumming, interesting postmarks and so on. I can tolerate it on unused items, but only if it is stated in the description that this is not the actual item up for sale, only one similar to it, in similaror better condition..

That said I guess the problem will face the seller(s) that don't take their time to scan properly. Perfectly nice items could remain unsold as no potential buyer get to see it.

What does forum members mean about this.

Well, being new to Delcampe and new to this forum I am a bit reluctant to point at certain sellers. To illustrate what I mean, however, have a look at items ## 17108573 and 17108558, ##14272403 and 14272411, ##9198891 - 9198892 and 9198893.

They may of course be a result of registering a sale twice, I have done this myself and am a bit worried at how easy it was to get a double registration. On the other hand I have seen examples where the same pictures were used up to 10 times in a row for several items. I did not write down the sellers name so please don't ask me to recall it.

    Kind regards

    Bonsoir @141,

:znaika:

I had already raised the same question in the French-speaking forum without having identical answer.
    :(
I had risen against the noncontractual images, just like the announces which say that the image is only one example of stamps which you will receive. :( :(
Thousands of items are proposed as that but as are large salesmen ... :znaika:

Sorry for my poor English writting I live Belgium and my language is french or dutch (flemish)
    Greetings from Brussels.
    Jean-Claude
