Illustrateur Robert CAMI (1900-1975) : projet de vignette (ou timbre) pour l'EXPOSITION INTERNATIONALE de PARIS 1937

Important ensemble de DESSINS ORIGINAUX sur papiers-calque (128 feuilles de papier-calque) dévoilant toutes les étapes de création par l'artiste. La vente comprend aussi 4 pages sur papier simple écrites par Robert CAMI. Elle comprend également une feuille imprimée (recto/verso) contenant le règlement officiel d'un “concours pour l'établissement d'affiches et vignettes”. Sur cette feuille, imprimée en 1934, Robert CAMI a ajouté la mention “Martin - Baullat” de façon manuscrite.

La comparaison avec d'autres textes manuscrits connus de Robert CAMI permet de constater que son écriture est parfois droite et parfois en italique. En fait, il semble qu'il écrive plus souvent en italique lorsqu'il s'agit de titrer une œuvre. Dans ce dernier cas on constate aussi que certaines lettres minuscules sont mieux réalisées, notamment la lettre " r ". La comparaison des majuscules, en revanche, ne laisse aucun doute : le graphisme ne varie jamais, il s'agit bien de l'écriture de Robert CAMI.

Les dessins des feuilles n° 1 à 22 ont pour dimensions (approximativement) 9 x 14 cm.

Les dessins des feuilles n° 23 à 99 ont pour dimensions (approximativement) 5 x 7 cm.

État : bon état général bien que nombreux plis, amorces de plis ou froissures anciennes (les scans sont fidèles). Nombreuses traces anciennes d'épinglages (rouille). Quelques usures du papier en surface.
