Description :
Scène de rue au centre-ville de Colmar, saisie en pleine période de l’Occupation. Au premier plan, des passants discutent tandis que des cyclistes sillonnent les rails du tramway. À l’arrière-plan, se dresse la façade imposante du théâtre municipal. Sur la gauche, des drapeaux à croix gammée rappellent la présence allemande et l’annexion de l’Alsace par le Troisième Reich. Le contraste est frappant entre la banalité de la vie quotidienne – promeneurs, conversations, commerces ouverts – et les symboles de domination accrochés aux bâtiments officiels.
