DESCRIPTION

The original 1961 soundtrack to the Paramount motion picture Blue Hawaii, starring Elvis Presley and produced by Hal Wallis. Featuring timeless classics including “Can’t Help Falling In Love,” “Rock-A-Hula Baby,” and “Hawaiian Wedding Song.” This authentic RCA Victor New Orthophonic High Fidelity mono issue represents one of Elvis’s most celebrated soundtrack LPs. The filmstrip-style front cover remains one of the most iconic Presley album designs of the early ’60s.

Cover: Near Mint (NM) — still in factory shrinkwrap with vintage red T & C Record Dept. price sticker; vivid color saturation, clean corners, tight seams, crisp spine text “BLUE HAWAII ~ ELVIS PRESLEY – LPM-2426.”

Pressing Plant: Rockaway, New Jersey (identified by the standalone “R” etching in runout).
Matrix Numbers:

The “M2PP” prefix corresponds to 1961 lacquer mastering for the mono edition.
Early Rockaway pressing — scarcer than Indianapolis issues — produced in late 1961 / early 1962.
“Printed in U.S.A.” on lower front edge confirms original RCA cover stock.
Shrinkwrap and sticker date to the early ’60s retail period (pre-UPC).
True mono edition; stereo counterpart is catalog LSP-2426.
