Ultra-rare one-sided TEST PRESSING / SAMPLE RECORD – NOT FOR SALE, manufactured in Japan by Victor Company of Japan (JVC) for Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab (MFSL) during the early half-speed mastering era.
This unique test record was cut and pressed on one playable side only, used internally for sonic evaluation before final approval of production lacquers.
The label and sleeve both confirm its pre-production purpose: catalog reference MFSL-1-507, with a handwritten note “Feste Romane” (Respighi – Roman Festivals).
Features the hallmark SR/2 ORTOFON half-speed mastering inscription by Stan Ricker, pressed on JVC’s proprietary SuperVinyl for reference-grade fidelity.

CONDITION

Sleeve: EX — plain white JVC factory sleeve with original Sample Record sticker, light foxing, mild toning, and minimal wear.
