2. Description

This is a rare Original 1959 US 78 RPM Pressing of The Drifters' hit "Dance With Me," featuring Ben E. King. Released late in the 78 RPM era (September 1959), copies in this format are significantly harder to find than the standard 45 RPM version. The record comes in a vintage Atlantic company sleeve.

3. Condition

Shellac: Visual grade Excellent (E).
Labels: The red Atlantic labels are clean with vibrant color and legible silver text. There is minor wear, but no stickers or writing are visible.
Sleeve: The vintage Atlantic paper sleeve is intact with age-related tanning and soft corners.

4. Notes for collectors

Format Rarity: Extremely Rare Format. By late 1959, most singles were sold as 45s. Finding a survivor in 78 RPM format is uncommon and highly collectible.
Material: Likely pressed on late-era shellac or a vinyl-compound (common for late 50s 78s), which is more durable than earlier shellac discs.
Mastering: Features the "AT" etching in the dead wax, indicating mastering at Atlantic Studios.
