Belle réplique fonctionnelle (au deux crans d'armé ressort ferme ) du pistolet à silex écossais le plus populaire parmi les officiers des régiments des Highlanders écossais à la fin du 18e siècle. Il s'agit d'un pistolet à canon lisse de calibre 52 entièrement en acier. Le modèle original tire son nom des fabricants, Christie & Murdoch, qui opéraient sous la conception de Thomas Murdoch, l'un des armuriers les plus célèbres de Grande-Bretagne. À partir de 1730, les soldats écossais ont commencé à s'armer de cette arme, gagnant en popularité au cours de la seconde moitié du XVIIIe siècle. Vers la fin de 1790, l'arme a cessé d'être fournie aux troupes, depuis lors, elle est un complément utilisé exclusivement par des officiers ou des sous-officiers, qui la portent sous l'aisselle droite grâce à une simple sangle.

Comme l'original, cette réplique est très élégante et richement ornée.

La baguette est une réplique fidèle de l'original, entièrement en acier et en forme d'aiguille.

Dans la crosse, ce trouve un pointeau pour nettoyer la lumière, qui s'extrait par filetage, comme à l'origine.
