Très belles couleurs et patine.

Déployé en Indochine à compter de fin 1948, chef de bataillon Ayrolles. Troupes de Marine. s'inscrit dans la lignée des unités coloniales parachutistes héritières des traditions paras de la France Libre et des SAS.

En 1950, le 3eme BCCP est largué pour tenter de dégager les forces françaises encerclées durant la bataille de RC4 (évacuation de Cao Bang début octobre), il est pratiquement annihilé. Il est ensuite dissous en oct 50.

L'épingle a été modifiée, la partie basse d'accroche de l'épingle est manquante
