Chopin's "24 Preludes" performed by Iso Elinson (1907-1964, Russia), a virtuoso under F. Blumenfeld along with Simon Barrere and Horowitz, on two 10" LPs and one CD. The LP recordings, along with Chopin's "24 Preludes," are representative of Elinson's substantial performances before he reached maturity. The bonus tracks include two rare SP recordings from 20 years earlier. It is fun to compare the performances with those of the young Ellingson, who was still in his twenties.
