Réplique d'une balle de 20 mm Allemand. Aussi connu sous le nom " 2cm PANZERGRANATPATRONE 40 L'SPUR version longue.

Cette version est présente dans les manuels anglais concernant les munitions récupérées en 1945, composé de deux bandes de guidage (une bande à l'avant difficilement visible sur la photo ainsi qu'une bande à l'arrière facilement repérable grâce à sa couleur cuivre).
Ces munitions sont encore plus rares que sa sœur la 2cm PZGR 40 l'SPUR noyau Tungstène version moyenne (6,5 cm).

Histoire

L’arrivée de cette munition en Allemagne date de fin 1937. Cette ogive se monte sur des douilles de 20 mm X 108 mm B, reconnaissable à leur rainure à l'arrière de la douille pour permettre un montage en bande.

C'est une munition antiblindage, traçant, disposant d'un noyau de Tungstène, cela qualifie cette balle de "super perforante"

D'abord utilisé par les canons KwK 30 et flak 30, rapidement obsolète en début de guerre due à une faible cadence de tir ainsi que des problèmes d'enrayement, ils seront remplacés par les KwK 38, Gebirgsflak 38 ainsi que les Flakvierling 38.
