Der Schweizer Sonderblock zeigt eine Aufnahme von der Lueg (Heiligenlandhubel) in der Gemeinde Affoltern im Emmental. Die Lueg ist ein 887 Meter hoher Hügel an der Strasse zwischen den Dörfern Wynigen und Affoltern. Der Hügel bietet eine herrliche Aussicht auf die Berner Alpen. Die einzige Poststelle in der Gemeinde ist Weier im Emmental. Die Gemeindepost verwendete zur Zeit der Ausgabe einen Sonderstempel, der das Lueg-Denkmal und die gleichen Gipfel des Panoramas zeigt, wie sie auf dem Sonderblock abgebildet sind. Wenige Wochen nach der Markenausgabe wurde die Post geschlossen. Das heisst, der Poststempel ist Vergangenheit und nicht mehr erhältlich. Diese Beleg wurde garantiert auf die Poststelle gestempelt. Ich besuchte die Poststelle am Tag der Markenausgabe persönlich und habe meine Belege stempeln lassen. Die Illustration zeigt eine Panorama Ansicht von der Lueg, von wo auch der Fotograf die Aufnahme machte.

Le bloc spécial suisse montre une photo de la Lueg (Heiligenlandhubel) dans la commune d'Affoltern dans l'Emmental. Le Lueg est une colline de 887 mètres d'altitude située sur la route entre les villages de Wynigen et d'Affoltern. La colline offre une vue magnifique sur les Alpes bernoises. Le seul bureau de poste de la commune est celui de Weier dans l'Emmental. Au moment de l'émission, la poste communale utilisait un cachet spécial représentant le monument de la Lueg et les mêmes sommets du panorama que ceux représentés sur le bloc spécial. Quelques semaines après l'émission du timbre, la poste a été fermée. Cela signifie que le cachet postal appartient au passé et n'est plus disponible. Ce document a été garanti oblitéré au bureau de poste. Je me suis rendu personnellement au bureau de poste le jour de l'émission des timbres et j'ai fait oblitérer mes justificatifs. L'illustration montre une vue panoramique de la Lueg, d'où le photographe a également pris la photo.

Il Lueg è una collina alta 887 metri sulla strada tra i villaggi di Wynigen e Affoltern. La collina offre una magnifica vista sulle Alpi bernesi. L'unico ufficio postale del comune è quello di Weier im Emmental. Al momento dell'emissione, l'ufficio postale comunale ha utilizzato un timbro postale speciale che mostra il monumento di Lueg e le stesse cime panoramiche raffigurate nel foglio speciale di souvenir. Poche settimane dopo l'emissione del francobollo, l'ufficio postale fu chiuso. Ciò significa che il timbro postale appartiene al passato e non è più disponibile. L'annullo di questa busta era garantito presso l'ufficio postale. Mi sono recato di persona all'ufficio postale il giorno dell'emissione dei francobolli e ho fatto annullare le mie buste. L'illustrazione mostra una vista panoramica del Lueg, da dove il fotografo ha scattato la foto.

The Swiss souvenir sheet shows a photo of the Lueg (Heiligenlandhubel) in the municipality of Affoltern in the Emmental.
The Lueg is an 887 metre high hill on the road between the villages of Wynigen and Affoltern. The hill offers a magnificent view of the Bernese Alps. The only post office in the municipality is Weier im Emmental. At the time of issue, the municipal post office used a special postmark showing the Lueg monument and the same peaks of the panorama as those depicted on the special souvenir sheet. A few weeks after the stamp issue, the post office was closed. This means that the postmark is a thing of the past and is no longer available. This cover is guaranteed to have been cancelled at the post office. I visited the post office in person on the day the stamps were issued and had my covers cancelled. The illustration shows a panoramic view of the Lueg, from where the photographer took the picture.
