Deliberate misrepresentation of listing Titles

    Deliberate misrepresentation of listing Titles & Descriptions by certain dealers .

    Have you noticed that certain dealers deliberately falsify Titles or Decscriptions in order to attract more attention to their sales . Postcards or real photo listings frequently include the word “China” , ( or “Chine” ) followed sometimes by “Japan” and the ??? ( question marks) .
    When , for an example there is a printed title on a card that it is a scene in Singapore, the dealer has no justification in suggesting that this is of China. Similarly, I do not believe that obvious scenes of Japan accompanied by Japanese language should include the word “China” in the title. Almost every regular postcard dealer knows that the Japanese Hiragana character “ の ” is not Chinese. Which should eliminate many of the cards of Japan being “Chinese”
    If these regular and frequent dealers ae unable to distinguish the difference they should not be allowed to be a member of the Delcampe community.

    This happens across Delcampe not only postcards!
    You may do better if you addressed your complaint directly to Delcampe and they can explain to you what their policies are regarding such matters.

    There is a lot of deliberate keyword spamming on all auction sites, but this is not part of it, I think. You may be astonished but preatty much all Asian scripture looks very much the same to most of Westerners, and I don't exclude myself. I couldn't discern Chinese and Japanese characters at all (but maybe Kanji).
