    Could anyone please translate the title on the back of this card? It's from Estonia, so I'm assuming it is Russian.

    I don't think that is the title of the card. Rather the publisher.

    With some difficulty I tried to put it in Google translate - eventually I ended up with this:
    karl noormagi brom-piltpostkaartide salinas reval Eesti which was translated as: Karl noormagi Brom, picture postcards Salinas Reval in Estonia

    Could anyone please translate the title on the back of this card? It's from Estonia, so I'm assuming it is Russian.

    It's from Estonia you you should assume it's Estonian (insert missing rolleye smiley here), especially as it's written in Latin script!

    Karl Roormägi is probably the publisher's name. Tallinas - Reval refers to Tallinn which was officially called by its German name Reval until 1918. And I think I also read the word piltpostkaartilde, surely something related to postcard.

    It's from Estonia you you should assume it's Estonian (insert missing rolleye smiley here), especially as it's written in Latin script!

    Karl Roormägi is probably the publisher's name. Tallinas - Reval refers to Tallinn which was officially called by its German name Reval until 1918. And I think I also read the word piltpostkaartilde, surely something related to postcard.

    Thank you both. Yes, you are right to roll your eyes at me!!!! I made an entirely wrong lingual assumption.

    Although I constantly make mistakes, I always try to learn by them, and my recent pre-occupation with postcards has taught me much. From this postcard of Tallinn, I was prompted to get onto Wikepedia where I learned about the city, geographically, commercially, historically. I then surfed google maps and moved that little man up and down the streets, having a delightful look around until I found the old city walls which are depicted in my postcard. Now, of course, I want to go and visit!

    Thank you both. Yes, you are right to roll your eyes at me!!!! I made an entirely wrong lingual assumption.

    Although I constantly make mistakes, I always try to learn by them, and my recent pre-occupation with postcards has taught me much.     Isn't it wonderful when you have a ca. 100 year old postcard of a place and if you have an opportunity to visit, some or all of it is still there.
