    If the postmark of 1987 is correct and you have just received the cover then it looks like the postal services have excelled themselves! Here snail mail obviously means just that!

    Or the Israeli stamp is the anomaly (from Middlesex, UK)

    This is not too unusual. I have seen and sold covers before that used Green Shield stamps for postage that passed through the mails. I have also received mail from the 'Karen Republic' that came through the mail though I have no idea where it originated from. I was also offered covers someone had used TV Licence stamps for postage!
