Cancellation of emails for start and end item

i didn't really want to get upset again, but since the "getItemByReference" keeps not working these days, or the "deleteItem" is not acknowledged properly, a connection is obvious. Delcampe simply abolished these two email types in a covert operation. Typical Delcampe. And with the completely nonsensical justification that the emails always end up in SPAM. So up until now, everyone could switch the sending of these emails on and off in their email settings via the Delcampe web interface. So if someone wanted these emails, they would probably have been able to configure their SPAM filter accordingly.... These emails were a good way of controlling the chaos at Delcampe. Because no ItemID came back via the API response, but the email did. So when the email came, you could be sure that the item had actually been created and that the request hadn't disappeared into oblivion somewhere. This of course also applies to the end/delete emails, as can be seen in connection with the problems with the delete request. This was also a good way to check what was really happening at Delcampe and helped us a lot to understand and identify problems. Delcampe's web interface is completely unsuitable for this, or rather unusable, as there is no search function and nothing to evaluate the emails. We had our own database where these emails were prepared and evaluated accordingly. So that was enough time for this topic...

Starting /Closing sales emails have been removed, because due to their volume and repetitive content they were the cause of a constant blacklist of our mail servers. This problem has disappeared since this removal.

We cannot provide a item ID when creating a sales by the API by (chosen) design, but you can register an API callback to get informed when a sales is started. You can then match on the personal reference to map the Delcampe item id on your side.

Hello, what do you mean by callback, triggering/configuring a notification? I'm not aware that there is such a thing. Documentation?
It's not the fact that these emails have been abolished. It's the way in which it always happens. If there is an alternative, then such a step should be announced well in advance along with the possible alternative(s). Then everyone can prepare for it and install a new solution. But the way Delacmpe does it means that solutions based on it don't work and that creates a lot of resentment!!! Regards
