    Hi there,
the call to get an item by personal reference returns only 1 item even is there are 2 or more item with the same reference.
I made several test and printed out the xml response from the call and I'm pretty sure my software is Ok.
I expect the call to return an array of items or an error but not a single item.

If someone from the support would like to make some test, the seller ID is 1119561 and the SKU (personal reference) is TEST0001

    Thank you for your help

    Hi,

Currently, there is no API call to retrieve several items with the same personal reference.
I invite you to enter a unique personal reference per item to unblock the situation.

    Best regards,

    Hi Kevin,
unfortunately, at least 1 of my customer has thousands of item with the same reference, because he was obliged to merge 2 different acounts. The merge operation was carried out by your team, so I think you or some of your collegues know the situation.

In my opinion that's a BUG!
From a logical point of view, there are 2 possibilitetis:
    1) The call returns an item array
    2) The call returns an error

The fact that the call returns 1 item makes no sense.

It makes no sense to allow different items with the same reference at one side and not showing by asking via them on the other side. I've called this api call to find all items with double references. Cause I got only one item I per rference thought everything is ok and I didn't change anything. For "enter a unique personal reference per item" I need a list where I can see which ids are doubled. For that, I think, should this api call be.

    Hello collectoravenue, sammlerkalle,

Indeed it makes no sense. And for your customer with merged accounts it makes the store hardly manageable.
I open a change request for this issue.

    Have a nice day,

    Hi,

We just adapt the call to get several elements.
I hope this will suit you.

Hello, under SOAP this was the case, more than 1 item was returned. I don't know when this was changed under REST. In any case, all articles must be returned with the same reference so that duplicate articles can be eliminated. However, the "Personal Reference" must not be misused, because a personal reference is a key and therefore an error message should appear when creating an article if an article with this reference already exists. This means that the problem of duplicate articles should no longer occur. It's the same everywhere else (ebay, Hood, etc.)! Unfortunately, this function no longer works at the moment!!! Kind regards
