    Have any professional sellers managed to register for the German LUCID system?

    I ship stamps to approx 20 German customers each month in a small envelope. This equates to c. ½ kilo in weight max.

    I have reviewed the LUCID information and tried to register.
    The registration process is prima facie impossible to work through as it assumes you are a company and asks for all sorts of company and tax information which aren't relevant to my business.

    And you also have to select a local eco-organisation!
    What to pick up envelopes from different parts of Germany!

    Needless to say any questions get standard generalised answers. Hopeless.

    It seems a non dealer can sell to Germany without any problem but not a tax registered one!

    Anyone got any thoughts?

    I am too surprised to receive email from Delcampe for registration.

    In India we have GST number and not VAT as it is followed in Germany.
    As a professional seller in Delcampe, it will be a challenge to sell to Germany buyers.

    New laws are introduced in EU now and then which is more to manage customs then to do business.

    Any feedback from others?

    I am too surprised to receive email from Delcampe for registration.

    In India we have GST number and not VAT as it is followed in Germany.
    As a professional seller in Delcampe, it will be a challenge to sell to Germany buyers.

    New laws are introduced in EU now and then which is more to manage customs then to do business.

    It is a challenge.
    I cannot enter the UK VAT number into LUCID.
    It is rejected! And that's because the UK is no longer part of the EU.
    I suspect that the LUCID registration system has been ill-conceived in its design and requires everyone in the world to register with all the different tax permutations!

    Any thoughts from anyone familiar with the registration process would be welcomed.

    FYI I have now managed to register for LUCID.
    I did need help from the LUCID technical hotline which required a call to Germany.
    Bizarrely, the LUCID technical team have overrides for some of the mandatory fields that were not applicable to my business profile as I do not trade as a company. These are not described in the 'help' text.

    Anyhow, I was able to obtain a registration number and continue trading with my German customers on Delcampe.

    I still remain unclear what the German government is hoping to achieve from LUCID.

    If that is the intended objective I don't see how LUCID will change this.
    It is just a registration system for every commercial enterprise in the world that wants to sell to Germany. In my opinion a bureacratic nonsense very much in the mold of the EU systems.

    If that is the registration number from LUCID and you have entered it on Delcampe then the answer is 'Yes'.
