    This must have been rreported before ... but still not fixed!

    If you use the 'Invoiced' tab and choose to want to 'Print invoice' from the 'More' options pull down then the link takes you to the main Delcampe web page!!!!

    As it happens I selected the wrong option because I wanted to print 'delivery note'.

    But it is another very simple error that should have been picked up during basic testing (and fixed).

    Well there is no way I'm going to do the list of things that you are asking.

    The problem exists in this procedure ... but I will concede that it probably only affects users with IE8 installed which is the highest IE version you can install if you are still using XP (which I am). It seems to work using Chrome but other things don't!

    You might well expect that but you'd have to follow all the steps described above before you could prove that the problem isn't to do with your PC configuration. Mine probably is because I'm using XP, although it confounds me that using IE8 would cause a 'link' problem but that's technology for you.

    It is bizarre and making me smile.

    For me, whatever I do 'right click and open' or clicking 'print invoice' it takes me to the Home page.

    However, if I click 'see invoice' that does what it says and would you believe it this also gives me an option to print the invoice ... which works!

    This would be great but as I said in my first post I selected the 'print invoice' option by mistake as I really wanted to print a 'delivery note' ... and thankfully that selection works ok.

    All a bit worrying really. Take another valium and keep going I guess.

    It is bizarre and making me smile.

    For me, whatever I do 'right click and open' or clicking 'print invoice' it takes me to the Home page.

    Rubbish ... as I told you I am running IE anyway. The point I was making, as clearly you are not a techie, is that the highest level of IE that can be used with XP is v8. And this is why you are running Chrome and Firefox because IE8 is not well catered for in 'new' systems.

    However, I have also run into the same problem using Chrome as my browser.

    There are holes in all sorts of places as a result of this 'new' system as shown in my other thread concerning another problem.

    In fact it doesn't actually matter to me as I only stumbled on this problem by accident as I was looking to print a delivery note not an invoice.

    And if you think I'm going to waste anymore time on this issue by screwing up my PC doing all the list of things you are expecting me to do you can forget it.

    The system is fragile ... and I for one am losing sales as a result.

    This is not true ... you can right click ... and select 'open' from the list of Windows options.

    OK, I've checked again ... it now works under Chrome as browser (appears to be fixed from yesterday though).
    The problem remains for IE8.

    Hi....works OK here. Goes to the print pop-up box like the old system used to.

    Maybe a browser problem? I use Firefox

    I use IE8 which is the highest version of IE that I can use with XP.

    Initially Chrome didn't work either but it appears to now.

    One's experience of the new system certainly differs according the Browser used.

    Oh dear.........I quite like the new system now (apart from the relatively minor irritants on addresses, multi-currency errors, etc that I have mentioned before and are still not corrected).

    That being said, D still stoically seem to refuse to state why they foisted the new system on us hapless sellers in the first place. Sellers, I think produce all their income bar ads.

    The problem in this thread is almost certainly due to using IE8.

    The other problems are software glitches and will only affect you if the scenario described applies. And because some of these are difficult for Delcampe to recreate you are on your own.

    The search feature, as mentioned in other threads, is appalling / useless.

    Yes, I think most sellers agree that the new system was poorly implemented, badly tested, & still has innumerable glitches that should have been sorted out well before going live....the latest newsletter states that D apologise for the inconvenience as there were more complications than anticipated!

    Sorry, but that is quite ridiculous......D were told what to look for after the initial debacle some months ago but seemed to ignore the remsrks. I thought it was announced in December that new tech staff had been hired to prevent this sort of nonsense recurring?

    It is also true that most sellers suffered financially due to reduced sales following the new system introduction & that sales have still not returned to the previous levels....and maybe never will.....my regular buyers seem to be turning up at other sites for the first time and will need some persuasion to return to D. I will not even try and persuade them until the system settles down & completely works properly.

    So for now, I join you in apprehension and doubt.......

    I see that you are still in the top 3 UK. If your sales have been poor then I assume this applies to everyone. My own ratings on USA, Aus seem to have remained static on simply dreadful sales. Then all of a sudden Thurs-Sat, I received 60 sales from 6 new customers & 1 repeat customer. So everything OK now? mmmmmmm The admin system worked OK though.

    As I understand the situation, IE8 is not secure and will become more insecure as time passes. I am also running XP and find Firefox very satisfactory.

    I am reconciled to the death of IE8.

    The best solution will be a new PC and new operating system, especially since XP is no longer supported by MS.

    This does not change my poor opinion about Delcampe's ill conceived new system and its consequences for many sellers and buyers.

    Yes possibly....I had not considered that.

    I stopped using the 'big' site 3 years ago.....then thought that I would try and shift some old stuff there earlier this year. But they insisted that I now had to register in the Philippines (I still had a UK account).

    The collectibles market over here is non-existent and 100% of my sales are international. So I had the pleasure of telling e*** where they old stuff their rotten site.

    Even after all the problems at D, Sebastian & staff do still try and help the sellers even if sometimes brains seem to go awol
