    Does anybody recognize the building in the photo. Looks very distinctive but my searches have brought up total blank. Probably somewhere in the UK.

    Hi,

    quasar tried to locate the building yesterday, but he didn't manage to find it...

    I think it must be a school, a hospital or something similar.

    What's on the verso of the photo?

    It looks very much like the clock tower at Eton College - but the other buildings don't seem to tally.

    Thanks for looking. It's an old Victorian photo with nothing on the back (1860's-80's). I have had some success locating buildings with equal scant information before but this one has eluded me. I agree that it is either a institutional complex or large county house. It could well have been pulled down so their might not be many pictures of it about. Maybe one day I will find out where it is.
