Thanks for sharing this info again with updates. Much food for thought in your "report" as well as your various other forum listings, especially for a newcomer like me. I'll be distilling your major points into a short list & pasting it above my screen to revisit on a weekly basis.

It is clear in the short time I've been on Delcampe that, yes, you need i) a sales plan, ii) to develop a critical mass re listings & customer base, and iii) an internationalist perspective (which is what drew me to Delcampe in the first place, much more than simply a desire to diversify away from eBay).

To achieve success it's clear that a long term commitment to developing one's presence on Delcampe is essential. No Wall St quarterly profit & loss approach will work here (it never worked there either!). Delcampe has made it very easy to make a long term commitment by a sensible fee structure that encourages new sellers to build up slowly if they only have the patience - and a plan.

While most of us can't or don't want to replicate the scale of your operations, we can customize many of your recommendations in order to become the best little corner store postcard boutique we can be! I'd be interested to hear from others how they have successfully adapted their strategies to run more modest levels of trading than Stefano's.
