Great idea! Would give buyers fairness no matter where in the world they lived!

The security argument is an unjustified argument. Then they could claim any payment is also unsecured as it doesn't come from their website.

I an confused as usual. I have used auction sniping on other sites ever since it was invented...probavbly about 20 years or so. How has it suddenly become a security risk....and who's security is at risk?

The auction site has to give permissions for the sniping service to access the site using the users log in details. So it is having faith in the sniper services security that may be one problem. The other is that many sites now have introduced several layers of security at the log in stage - the time this takes to get past often invalidates the whole point of sniping.

Many sniping services have had this problem recently with eBay where verification that you are not a robot often takes place.

Ah OK I understand Its a pity because it puts those of us outside Europe at a disadvantage due to time differences GMT +8 out here. No doubt D will attempt o restore the much vaunted European "level playing field" sometime

As you see here no reply nor a clear explanation from DC; they are not interested in this matter. It's a shame! Nowadays, everything is argued for "security reasons" - it's very convenient!
