One look at the site tells me this seller will not do well. Forget about it.
Delcampe is open to all as long as the rules are respected. It seems your issue is simple...don't waste your time looking there. FYI it seems to me there is a rule against mentioning a specific member. Perhaps I am wrong.

Sorry my reply was for another posting. In any case the animation is not a big deal.

No big deal as you say but they have used the same dull animation for several years. It looks more like dandruff than snow!

Maybe this animation should be quarantined and something interesting used hahaha

    Hello,

It's not possible to disable this theme.
It's a temporary theme we add every year, around this time.

Be patient, in a few weeks, it will be removed.

    Kind regards,
    Miranda

@miranda i'm not against the theme itself, my complain is about the waste of CPU time (and so energy) that the theme introduces. With the theme on, any delcampe page in foreground in any window takes a full CPU core to run. that's excessive.

i'm not a web developer, but there's got to be a better way to have that animation than translating the snowflake unicode character for 30 pixels left and right while it descends.

I have to agree with your comments. In Philippines, internet speed and bandwidth etc varies between poor and dreadful. So I reduce usage of the Delcampe site to the bare minimum whilst the animation persists..

I am all for festive animations......other sites manage this well, but D seem to be using prehistoric technology for theirs
