    hey there...

It is only about "the market", an important market, not really about the language, not even about politics. USA is a huge market and the americans need a local touch, they even love it. They wave their flags here and there and everywhere. It gives them an identity and a feeling of beeing at home. Who are we to judge that?

For me personally it feels more logical to use the Union Jack for the English language or the English flag (the white with a red cross) as I don´t think the Stars and Stripes symbolize americanEnglish. However in this case the american flag has a broader purpose.

People are practical, even the Englishmen, so many choose, like I do, "the American Forum" as that forum is larger.

I even think that most people (except for the americans?) don´t even feel that the American Forum is an american forum. Just a larger
    english-speaking forum.

How to please the Englishmen? Probably they are the only ones with a feeling to be in a crow of american flag-wavers?

Perhaps the The English Forum is a British Forum? Is that bad? There´s no Norwegian Forum and if, that would probably only be crowded with Norwegians as the rest of the Scandinavians would choose the "American forum for practical reasons despite they understand norwegian.

    Solution. How about?:
a.) An American Forum + Stars and Stripes -done
b.) A British Forum + Union Jack - already done?
    c.) A English-speaking Forum + St George -no?
    d.) A Canadian Forum....??? + flag/s ??

Think about it if it will be a canadian delcampe....how would they react?
Let´s see if the french canadians want the canadian flag or would be pleased with the french... have you seen any bi-lingual canadian site?

.. and the cajuns? will they prefer the american forum or soon demand
their own forum? Today the world already know who those fellows are and they are on the road......At least I know one...

Anyways I think it will be a Swedish forum in due time. Tradera.com
was recently bought by ebay for an obvious reason. The Market !!!

    M.

P.S. All those so called english forums will never help me to bruch up my English as fellows like me will pop up now and then. :pc_user: :D

P.S.S. I would like to see the both English forums to merge:
No flags - only the text "english".

"Have a laugh together" is an expression right?

I think it means something like swap tips, socialise
in a quirky and quick-witted way as the fighters are
    proberly good friends?

    1st Lesson in "svengelska" (swinglish)

I think everyone still understand without using the dictonary below?

    – The door went fast with such a smell so I understood that there must be a drag in the room.

    – Can you please shoot the widow!

    – Comb your whore.

    – I think I'll jump over the tea this morning.

    Swinglish- English- Swedish dictionary:
    drag - draw -dra
    eyelook - moment - ögonblick
    jumpa- skip - hoppa över
    shoot - close - stänga
    smell - big bang -smäll
    whore -haire -hår

So when its raining cats and dogs in England in summer
here it´s raining some fan , very rusky heala submarine.

But if you ask for a submarine you will get one.
