As you are accusing me of "becoming a dealer", I hope to visit the Shepton fair if at all possible.
Last year Delcampe had a stand there - this year it's not even mentioned in their calendar. - unless I am very much mistaken anyone can put events in the calendar. As you got exact details of dates/location, could you put the dates in, please? It might just get you the odd extra customer:yes:

But maybe alot of those 0.75-1.25p could sell for £1-50 to £2 in a fixed price if left for a while? Without actually knowing what sort of cards they are that is!
I always used to get into the mentality that once I had it listed on ebay it would be visible and if I listed it at 0.99p and after 10 days it sold at that then that is what it was worth. But with it being " a needle in a haystack" maybe only the one person saw it and got themselves a bargain?

Thanks alot for the useful advice all of you anyway. Just started using delcampe lister today which may speed things up a bit?

I remember the days of searching for cards and checking open and closed listings for nearly everything I listed - nowadays it only happens occasionally.
Mind you with sooooo many European subcatergories I do have to search every now and again for a town/village to check what category to list it in, especially French and Italian.

I to am a business seller with no other income (apart from my wife when she sells her manuscript for the book!) which is why I need to keep going on ebay until I can get to a sustainable level on here!
Mind you as I said in previous postings, from pretty much a sale a day through January, since the start of this month I havent sold one thing.
Do delcampe have some sort of super search function they give to items from first month sellers to get them all keen and motivated, then switch them back to normal from then on?:)

Thats why I wonder what went on in the first month of selling. Was it coincidental that I had 30 items that were desperate to find a buyer out of my 300 items!?

But whatever until I can work out what my sales might be on here I will have to continue giving money to ebay!!!!

Was that between half an hour and an hour ago?

I posted on 2 threads around that time and both my posts disappeared, while the site had another 5 mins or so of "downtime"

From my view the thing with my January sales was almost all the items went to different individuals (with the others going to a couple of repeat buyers), not to one person buying lots. Which makes it mysterious (and worrying!) to me that delcampe isnt all it is cracked up to be?
As for ebay, I dont sell 99p items on there, basically £3 is my general low limit but I sell more postal history than postcards on there. Have pretty much given up PPC sales on there (I have a shop on there with 800 cards/ph items and from this might sell 3 a week, it is the auctions that ebay is good for). So Delcampe will get my pc sales and I hope it picks up!

Thats good and with the lower value items (no disrepect meant at all) I guess that is the best way to achieve something rather than just having to pack individual 99p items, sell them £10-15 worth. As my volume of listings increase then hopefully (if I can list related items) I can achieve this, but I also need to know that some of my higher value items will also sell well.
The concern at the moment has been how it has just switched off selling as if a plug has been pulled!
