Hi, your current asking prices look generally reasonable to me for the type of cards you are listing. They are in line with selling prices on closed sales for the same or similar cards on eBay. The problem, if I may say so, is that these view scenes of rivers, sunsets, national monuments, etc are in relatively low demand so they turn over rather slowly.

I'd recommend taking another look at Scview's listing of what sells on Delcampe then try to obtain & list some of the more sought after cards. Also, try listing some foreign cards, especially European ones, and see what happens.

I've been on Delcampe almost a year & generally disappointed in the sell-through rate of US pcs (priced at what they typically sell for on that other site). Aside from generally weak economic conditions, buyers of US pcs seem to be thin on the card here given the high proportion of Delcampe membership being located in western Europe. The good news is that there are signs of steady if slow growth in US card sales.

That said, what keeps me here is the stronger demand for foreign cards. As Scview suggests in his 2009 document for sellers, you have to tailor your business and marketing plan here to the Delcampe market place and buyer interest. And generally, Delcampers are a great bunch to work with. Once you find out what they're looking for, supply it & they're happy with the transaction, they'll be back for more!

    Best of luck!

    cheers, Brent

Oh, and I forgot to answer your automatic relisting question...

On the selling form, the automatic relist line has a drop box for number of times to relist. The default option is 5 times, but if you click on the down arrow on the drop box, you can select either 10 or 99 times if you want a higher setting. Most of us set 99 since listing and relisting is free and we can "set it & forget it" for 99 weeks!

    cheers.

I think the most recent edition of the Mashburn Postcard Price Guide is the 4th published in 2001. With the rapid expansion of online sales, price guides have been increasingly difficult to compile but Mashburn is very useful for relative price comparisons between categories.

To Somersethedge: yes, topics are another area to expand into for better sell-through rates. Something I'm working on :wink2:
