    Update

    KAROLVS D G ....

    SIT NOMEN DOMINI BENEDICTVM

Which would make it French, one of the Charles, but I can't find the types in my French medieval catalogue. Probably a provincial issue.

Hi Is this Good news? What could I ask for such a coin?

Someone originally said Henry but I also thought the wording did not look like Henry.

How many Charles are there? Have you had a reply from that other place???

OK, close to the issues of Charles the Bold, Duke of Burgundy 1467-1477, but the arms are slightly different. I'm baffled.

as far as value they don't know cause it has a different set of coat of arms.

I thought I saw one with a more simiar coat of arms louis. So you are saying that mine is coat of Arms for Burgundy.

The detail in my coin seems a little better than some of the other coins.

I wonder how best I should describe this as I am not 100% sure of date and a sensible fixed price??

    Thanks for your advice everyone

Hi I looked at the coat of arms for Charles I of France from The 15th century 1467-77 and they are exactly the same.

You say it could well be the earlier one??

Maybe the plumes were copied later in the 16th century?? Where would the date normally be on the plumes side thanks
