What a delight!

Although I am predominantly a seller, there are 4 categories of postcards, that I collect.

I look on a regular basis for new listings in any of those categories.

Until recently, I would find 100's of "false new" listings, due to a small number of high volume Easystore sellers and was unable to find anything new.

The last couple of weeks I have found several new items I am interested in and have been able to purchase/place bids on some of those items.

As far as I am concerned, both as a buyer and a seller - good riddance to Easystore! If I can find true new listings as a buyer, it will probably also mean that potential collectors will be able to find my listings more easily.

I'd love to know what kind of effect the demise of Easystore has had on the Delcampe website as a whole.

The Easystore demise has definitely made searching easier on Delcampe. The cross categorisation from eBay to Delcampe was far from perfect so many items ended up in a 'best' category which often bore little resemblance to where it should be.

Also the priority with many Easystore users was with eBay so there was little interest where items were placed on Delcampe as sales here were just a bonus to many of them. It was an easy matter to pay a small fee to transfer all items from eBay onto Delcampe - no tedious listing or stock control to worry about. If an item sold it was (or should have been) deleted from from both sites and all a seller had to do was pack and send the item.

I suppose the bottom line for Delcampe is how much was lost in end of auction fees when Easystore stopped its service.
