I have used Delcampe for a number of years (Delcampe will tell me how many!)mostly buying postcards of London, WW1 cards and covers, whatever takes my fancy and a few perfins. Just a few, I was Secretary & Treasurer of the (GB)Perfin Society (international membership c300)for 14 years until 2007, perhaps too long, I've hardly touched perfins since! There are a lot of misconceptions about perfins and wonder whether I should write something to try to correct them. I have tried in the past in the British philatelic press, I'm not sure with any effect, did anybody read it, take it to heart? Whilst there are some bargain perfins on Delcampe, there is also a lot of overpriced rubbish. I've always said that whilst E bay is for "chancers", Delcampe is for collectors. Is there any point in sharing my views on perfins again and writing an article on them? I see there are no recent posts on perfins, let me know.

I think this would be a great idea.

I am not a perfin collector but I do come across them quite often ... and would be interested to know how to determine the valuable from the dross.
