Stamp no. 1 is the 3pf from the 1945 Soviet Occupation Zone of Germany, East Saxony region (head office Dresden) 'local'. Imperforate stamps were issued as well as various local perforations and rouletted. These stamps were issued by local Soviet regional headquarters in order to get a postal service up and running postwar, before a nationwide service was organised.
