    Hello Eagc1397,
My name is Philippe and I am mostly on the french forum.
I have looked my MICHEL catalog and it has those explanations :
The colonial stamp have a dull green colour, a solid paper, and lines are bigger and so not clear. Must have a colonial cancelation.
And the stamp from France (normal) have a green until green yellow over green. The second form is dark green over green.
All those stamp without the laurel crown on the head of the emperor.
I hope I was usefull and waiting for other persons for more infromations mostly about the cancelations.
I do not have the book with cancelations, I am sorry.

Have a nice day and week.

    Philippe.
