Obverse : Multicolour print (2 main colours and 9 background colours); red seal; black serial numbers. Bust of physician and bacteriologist Kitasato Shibasaburō also a small head in 3D hologram patch, which facing can change by angle of view.

Reverse : Multicolour print (1 main colours and 6 background colours); red seal. Reproduction of "The Great Wave off Kanagawa" (神奈川沖浪裏; Kanagawa-oki nami ura), ukiyo-e woodblock print from the series "Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji" (富嶽三十六景; Fugaku sanjūrokkei) by Katsushika Hokusai in 1831.
