Disney feiert 100 Jahre! Die weltbekannten Charaktere von Disney haben Generationen verzaubert sowie zum Lachen und Singen gebracht. Im Jubiläumsjahr würdigt Disney Fans und Kreative, die in den vergangenen hundert Jahren diesen Traum mitgestaltet haben. Wer kennt sie nicht, die Disney-Stars der ersten Stunde? Micky und Minnie gehören zu den bekanntesten Zeichentrickcharakteren überhaupt. Seit ihrem ersten Auftritt 1928 im Cartoon «Steamboat Willie» erobern die unterhaltsamen Charaktere mit den runden Ohren und farbigen Schuhen Herzen auf der ganzen Welt und mauserten sich so zu Ikonen der Popkultur. Für die Erschaffung von Micky Maus erhielt Walt Disney 1932 einen Academy Award® – es ist der Beginn einer beispiellosen Karriere. Dabei startete alles eher unspektakulär: In der Garage seines Onkels in Los Angeles erarbeitete der talentierte Künstler gemeinsam mit seinem Bruder Roy O. Disney Animationskurzfilme. Bald darauf gründen die beiden am 16. Oktober 1923 das Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio – dieser Tag gilt heute als Gründungstag der The Walt Disney Company. Mit technischen Innovationen erschuf Disney 1937 «Schneewittchen und die sieben Zwerge», den ersten Animationsfilm in Spielfilmlänge. Es folgten erfolgreiche Familienklassiker wie etwa «Dumbo» (1941), «Bambi» (1942), «Cinderella» (1950), «Das Dschungelbuch» (1967), «Arielle, die Meerjungfrau» (1989) oder «Der König der Löwen» (1994). Im Jubiläumsjahr feiert Disney gemeinsam mit den Fans die beliebten Charaktere und Geschichten aus 100 Jahren. Auch wir sagen: Happy Birthday!

Qui ne connaît pas les stars Disney de la première heure? Mickey et Minnie comptent parmi les personnages de dessins animés les plus célèbres. Depuis leur première apparition en 1928 dans «Steamboat Willie», ces souris rigolotes aux oreilles rondes et aux chaussures colorées ont attendri le monde entier et sont devenues des icônes de la culture populaire. En 1932, Walt Disney reçoit un Academy Award® pour l’invention de Mickey Mouse, signant ainsi le début d’une carrière sans précédent. Tout commence de manière plutôt modeste: c’est dans le garage de son oncle à Los Angeles que l’artiste talentueux crée des courts dessins animés avec son frère Roy O. Disney. Peu après, les deux frères fondent le Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio le 16 octobre 1923, retenu comme date de création de The Walt Disney Company. Employant des innovations technologiques, ils réalisent en 1937 «Blanche-Neige et les Sept Nains», premier long métrage d’animation. S’en suit toute une série de classiques pour la famille, qui rencontrent un grand succès, tels que «Dumbo» (1941), «Bambi» (1942), «Cendrillon» (1950), «Le Livre de la Jungle» (1967), «La Petite Sirène» (1989) ou encore «Le Roi Lion» (1994). Nel 1932 Walt Disney fu premiato con un Academy Award® per l’invenzione di Topolino: questo riconoscimento segnò l’inizio di una carriera senza eguali. Dapprincipio nessuno avrebbe potuto sospettarlo: il talentuoso artista creava i suoi cortometraggi animati nel garage di suo zio, a Los Angeles, in compagnia del fratello Roy O. Disney. Ben presto i due fratelli fondarono il Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio: era il 16 ottobre 1923, oggi considerata la data di fondazione di The Walt Disney Company. Grazie ad alcune innovazioni tecniche, nel 1937 Disney realizzò «Biancaneve e i sette nani», il suo primo lungometraggio animato. For the creation of Mickey Mouse, Walt Disney received an Academy Award® in 1932 – marking the beginning of an unparalleled career. But it all got off to a rather unspectacular start. Working with his brother Roy O. Disney in his uncle’s garage in Los Angeles, the talented artist produced short animated films. Soon afterwards, the two siblings went on to establish the Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio on 16 October 1923 – now regarded as the day on which The Walt Disney Company was founded. In 1937, Disney used technical innovations to create “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”, the first feature-length animated film. Successful family classics followed, including “Dumbo” (1941), “Bambi” (1942), “Cinderella” (1950), “The Jungle Book” (1967), “The Little Mermaid” (1989) and “The Lion King” (1994).
