Problems to access the site...

Dear friends,

As you may have noticed, it has been quite difficult to access the site during these last few days.

We have received many emails from members about this and, because we are sadly unable to reply to each individually, we prefer to keep you up to date with the evolution of the situation by means of this newsletter.

The reason behind the current slow pace is the fact that there are many vistors to the site and that our server has unfortunately become undersized (although it was amply sufficient not too long ago). This is the problematic side of success.

Thanks to the "Stamp Delcampe.com" project, we have gathered enough funds to purchase a new server (thanks to the participants!). This new server has been tested for several days, and we are planning to bring it on line in the next few days. We'll make sure to send you an email when it happens.

A new, clearer and faster version of the site (up to 6 times faster with certain pages of "My Account") is also ready and will soon be implemented. This version includes a few new functions such as the choice of ending time when launching a new auction.

While we wait for these highly necessary upgrades, we apologize profusely for the inconveniences that you may experience and we promise to do the utmost to overcome this uncomfortable situation as soon as possible.

Many thanks forall your notes of sympathy that were emailed to us. We do not have time to reply to each, but be it known that they provided us delight and encouragement.

PS: Small "hint": For the members for whom it is possible, surfing the site outside of the time interval 5-10pm (GMT+1) should alleviate the situation.
