Program crashes/Forward page button does not work

  • vietnamcollector
    Hi there,

I have been using the Delcampe site for a few weeks now and one problem I am having over and over again is that the program simply crashes on me. This usually happens after I have looked at about 10 pages of 100 items each. The program just automatically closes and then I have to re-open it and sign in again. This is very annoying, especially if I want to weed through a 100 pages of listings. I am using an I-Pad 1 most if the time. Dies anyone else have the same problem.

The other issue is, that when I use the page forward button to say go from page 10 to 11 the program sometimes responds with a page that states " no searches found" although there are about 90 more pages to go. If I use the " back" button and then just type the page number in (say page 11) the correct page shows up. What is up with that?

Any insights anyone may havewould be greatly appreciated.

The 'program' that crashes, if you are using an iPad, is probably Apple's browser Safari.
I don't think it's a Delcampe problem, however you can try to install another browser from the AppStore (Chrome, Opera, etc.) and try to browse the Delcampe site with that program.
Sometimes I browse on Delcampe with Opera Mini on an old iPhone 3G upgraded to iOS 4.2.1, and I had no crashes so far.
The only problem I see, both with Safari and Opera Mini, it's the favorites bar floating in the upper half of the screen instead of lying at the bottom.
About the 'forward' problem, I remember there's a Delcampe limitation of showing only the first 10 pages if you are not logged in, but I'm not sure.

Many thanks for the tip! I will use a different browser from no on. The paging error I described occurs, even if I do sign in at the begin of the session. Also this error occurs at different frequencies. Sometimes I can page through 20 pages before it crops up the first time, at other times it occurs page after page and the only way out is to close the program and to start fresh again going straight to the page that did not want to show up. Then it is usually okay for a while before the "cannot find further results" error happens again.

    Kind Regards
