    Hi again "baltija",

There are some changes to the follow-up icons.

Previously, those icons were clickable (payment sent, payment received...).
We let them be as we accepted non-electronic payment methods, as such some payments were made outside of our system.

However now those icons can no longer be clicked as all payments have to be made through Delcampe (either through PayPal or Mangopay). If a buyer pays, no matter the payment methods, the icons will be automatically clicked (payment sent, payment received).

This being said, for all the transactions that took place before the launch of our new system members should still be able to click those icons (as there were non electronic payment methods allowed). We have found out that it was not the case. Our IT department is working on this so that all the transactions prior to January 16th still have those icons.

I'll let you know when it's done.

    Thank you for your patience.

Will it now be possible to do partial refunds for any payment? I think It used to only be possible with Paypal.
What happens when a payment has been partially refunded? How will that be shown?

Partial refunds are possible on Mangopay but that was already the case before.
The refund process, whether we are talking about a full or a partial refund, is the same.
By default, when you click on refund the system will propose a full refund of the amount paid.
If you want to only refund part of the payment, change the amount shown.
The whole process is detailed in this article: Link (https)

So good news: any transaction that took place prior to the launch of our new "Payments" page (so prior to January 16th at 10.00am Brussels time) can have its icons manually clicked (payment sent, payment received ....).

When I did partial refunds previously in Paypal, once the partial refund was processed, the entire invoice in My Delcampe used to revert to 'unpaid' and move back to the 'Sold Items'invoiced' (awaiting payment) section. This was annoying. Is this now going to change?

This was changed a while back.
I can confirm you that if you partially refund a buyer (or you get partially refunded by a seller), the payment request will still be marked as paid. Its status won't switch to unpaid.

I see that filtering by payment method is now available on the payments page - thanks for making the change quickly.

You beat me to it Greg ;)

Indeed, you can filter the Payments page on the type of transaction (Payment received, Payment sent ...) and you can also narrow this down to the payment method (PayPal or Mangopay)

Now we are nearly at the one month mark into Mangopay, I had a suspicion that I was not getting the same payments as I used to with Delcampe Pay.

From 15/12/23 to 15/1/24 my Delcampe Payments were 15.6% of Transactions using it as a Payment Method. (58/20).
Now 16/1/24 to 11/2/24 my Mango Pay Payments are at 4.74% (73/6).
Sales Totals for February are up on previous month, Sales Order Numbers are up also.

The Make Offer Feature seems to be increasing new customers, even though a few stupid offers, but a response often gets a sale, so that was opposite of what i expected (which was a bombardment of lowball offers).

So anybody else noticed this trend with Payments ??
Why are there so few uptakes on Mangopay, surely if EVERYBODY has Mangopay as a Payment method I would expect more than a 5% usage ??
What is stopping Buyers from using it, because as a Seller I see no issues, just give your details and you are set to go. Is it the requirement for a Credit Card ?

My figures for sales by DelcampePay versus MangoPay would have been about the same as yours prior to the change, since 16 January about 3%. I believe there may have been problems loading money onto MangoPay which could be part of the problem, however I think the major issue is that most people have no clue what MangoPay is.
Even though DelcampePay was powered by MangoPay, buyers, I suspect, trusted it because it appeared to be part of Delcampe and that no longer applies.
MangoPay website says it is trusted by over 2500 businesses, which let’s face it, makes it a very minor player if that’s the extent of its reach

    Dear Delcampe members,

We have good news for you: today we are launching the first update of the new version of the payment system, which will allow you to easily manage your transactions on our website. This system, which you'll find under the "Payments" tab Link (https) , is like a virtual wallet where you can see your balance and your current transactions. This update is an important step in enabling us to offer you quality services and meet your needs. We know that change can sometimes be difficult or worrying, but we can assure you that we have done everything possible to ensure that this transition goes smoothly and without disrupting your habits. We'll be there to listen to you and support you throughout the process. This is the first step towards the future, and we will keep you informed of any further improvements.

    WHAT’S NEW

From 16 January, every Delcampeur will have a virtual wallet under the 'Payments' tab: Link (https)

This virtual wallet offers you two payment options:

    - PayPal, which you are already familiar with and which, among others, allows you to use your bank card or bank account to pay or receive money. This method is only available if the seller activates it.

    - Mangopay (formerly "Delcampe Pay"), which is a completely free payment solution! With MangoPay, you can also use your bank card or other payment methods depending on your country: iDeal, Bancontact, Sofort, etc.

If the buyer prefers to pay for their purchases by bank transfer, you have two options:

    - The buyer can add money to their PayPal account by bank transfer. They can then use the amount available on PayPal to pay the seller. The seller will then receive the payment in their PayPal account and the transaction will be visible under the "Payments" tab. This is only possible if the seller has activated PayPal in their payment methods.

    - Either the buyer directly adds money to their virtual wallet on Delcampe by bank transfer. Then, they can use the amount available in their virtual wallet to pay the seller. Sellers will then receive the payment in their own virtual wallet.

Services can also be paid to Delcampe via the "Payments" tab using the "Pay" button that will appear at the top right, next to the amount due. As soon as there is a debit in your fee history, you are invited to make a payment of the amount requested. No payment of an amount higher or lower than the amount due is possible.

WHY HAS DELCAMPE MADE THIS CHANGE?

We know that you enjoy buying and selling on Delcampe, and that you want your transactions to be quick, easy and secure. This is why we have decided to change our payment interface to offer you more advantages.
The new payment interface enables you to view and manage all your transactions in one place. You can easily track the status of your payments. What's more, the new payment interface will enable us in the near future to protect you better in the event of a problem with a purchase or sale. It lays the foundations for purchase protection.
We understand that change can be difficult, but we're confident you'll enjoy the new payment interface. It is designed to make your experience on Delcampe simpler, safer and more enjoyable. If you have any questions or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO DO?

    - If you want to use PayPal, you have to link your PayPal account to your Delcampe account.

    - If you want to use MangoPay, you don't have to do anything! Every Delcampe member automatically has a MangoPay account linked to their Delcampe account.

If you have a positive balance in your "Delcampe fees" or on your (old) Delcampe Pay account, don't worry, it will be automatically transferred to your new balance under the "Payments" tab in the next few days. As there are a lot of operations to carry out, this may take a little time. Please be patient and check your balance regularly.

    NEED SOME HELP?

We are aware that this change may take some getting used to, but we are convinced that it will make your transactions on Delcampe easier and more trustworthy.

To help you discover this new feature, we have prepared help articles and a tutorial video on YouTube. We recommend that you start by watching the video.
Here you will find help articles: Link (https)

    Watch the tutorial: Link (https)

Hi Miranda, I still cannot use Mangopay, since 2020 when you told me that everyting was solved.
I have worked on it for months, a few years ago, the problem was that my Hungarian documents were rejected. I also asked the Hungarian Tax and Custom Service (NAV) to confirm my datas in English, they did it and I have sent it to you, it was not accepted. After a few weeks you told me that it will be solved and from the beginning of the upcoming month I can use it. It was before the Covid period has started. I still cannot use my Mangopay.
    Best regards,

OK I don't buy stuff through Delampe on a regular basis so this is the first time I have come across the new system and of course I just paid as I would normally do through a direct bank transfer. I had assumed that Mangopay charged. Now I realize it doesn't. So now I have paid and I cannot show in Delcampe that I have done so, what do I do?
