    I have a military postcard with a red German mark.
    Is it a train mark or a censored mark?

    IDK but it's from München (Munich) where the card is addressed to. Some archival cancel maybe? It's dated in Warsaw which was then under German control. The card is Polish; it says 'postcard' in Russian and Polish but not in French so presumably meant for domestic usage.

    I'm not sure, but isn't the red mark simply the stamp of the regiment to which the sender of the card belongs?

    The mark says:

    S(oldaten) B(rief)
    Landst(urm) Inf(anterie) Bat(aillon) München
    I. B(atterie) 19

    In English:
    Soldiers Letter
    Landsturm Infantry Battalion Munich
    First Battery, 19th (Company?)

    So the soldier belongs to an Infantry Battalion that originates from Munich.
    It's very normal that he writes to an address in Munich (he is probably from the Munich region himself, as he belongs to the Munich Battalion).

    It's not just for the right to use the field post system, it also shows that the regiment / batallion had checked and if necessary, censored the item before it left the camp.
